Track 1

AI FOR BIODIVERSITY (TRACK 1)

Goal: Develop innovative AI models that can provide deeper insights into biodiversity. Use machine learning techniques to predict species health, population trends, or ecological impacts. Your models will help researchers and conservationists understand and protect these critical environments better.

What you'll do: Access a dataset featuring various attributes from rainforest ecosystems, including species occurrence, climate conditions, and geographical data. Build and train models to analyze patterns, predict outcomes, or classify data, contributing to the conservation efforts and scientific understanding of biodiversity.

Track 2

DATA VISUALIZATION (TRACK 2)

Goal: Create compelling and informative visualizations of rainforest data. Your visualizations should not only be aesthetically appealing but also serve as powerful tools for storytelling and education, highlighting key aspects of rainforest ecosystems.

What you'll do: Utilize the same rich datasets to design interactive charts, maps, or infographics that illustrate the complex relationships within the rainforest. Focus on clarity, user engagement, and innovative approaches to help viewers grasp detailed ecological data and its implications easily.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I join remotely?

Yes, 100%! The event is hybrid and we will provide a zoom link for everyone joining remotely

Do you support us in booking flights to come to Zurich?

We want to stay environmentally-friendly. Please join remotely.

Do you have financial support for accomodation and travel?

Unfortunately we can’t provide financial support

Wait, I can run my code on one of Europe’s fastest supercomputers?

Yep, if you convince the supercomputer jury, the compute is yours! For the others, we will provide credits for GCP and Colab notebooks.

Will there be Pizza?

You bet!
